RESUMO: A bolsa é um acessório indispensável no dia a dia de milhares de mulheres em todo o mundo. Apresentam-se em diversos modelos, cores, tamanhos, materiais, porém torna-se uma tarefa inovadora encontrá-las com um design voltado à sustentabilidade. Tendo em vista o reaproveitamento de resíduos e as necessidades do público feminino sobre o uso desse acessório, o presente projeto, reunido à revisão bibliográfica, expõe resultados de um estudo quantitativo. Nesse estudo, aplica-se um questionário, para 110 mulheres, acima de 30 anos, nos estados de Santa Catarina e Paraná. Posteriormente, nota-se, como resultado, que as mulheres buscam bolsas prezando pela praticidade e segurança na hora do uso. Verifica-se a aceitação do público feminino com relação à inserção de materiais diferenciados, provenientes do reaproveitamento de resíduos de indústrias têxteis (jeans) e de serrarias (pó de serra). Com o resultado do estudo quantitativo juntado à fundamentação teórica e aos materiais e métodos de pesquisa, direciona-se esse popular acessório a um design inovador. Os produtos deste projeto são inspirados na coleção Origami 132.5 de Issey Miyake, foram confeccionadas três bolsas, com design minimalista e formas geométricas. Como base teórica, utiliza-se a metodologia de Baxter (2000) e como fontes auxiliares Pazmino (2015) e Löbach (2001). Pertinentes ao tema sustentabilidade, Fletcher; Grose (2011) e Gwilt (2014).

ABSTRACT: The purse is an essential accessory in the day life of thousands of women around world. It presents itself in several models, colors, sizes and materials. However, it becomes an innovative task to find it with a design focused on sustainability. In terms of the reuse of waste and the necessity of the female public about the use of this accessory, this project, together with the bibliographic review, exposes results of a quantitative study. In this research, a questionnaire was answered by 110 women over age 30 in the state of Santa Catarina and Paraná. Subsequently, as a result, it is noticed that women look after practical and safe purses. The approval of the female public about the insertion of different types of materials provided by the reuse of waste of the clothing industry (jeans) and sawmills (sawdust) was verified. With the result of the quantitative study together with the theoretical foundation and the materials and methods of research, this popular accessory turns out to possess an innovative design. The products of this project are inspired by the Origami 132.5 collection by Issey Miyake and three purses were made with a minimalist design and geometric shapes. As theoretical foundation, the Baxter (2000) methodology was used and, as auxiliaries sources, Pazmino (2015) and Löbach (2001). About the sustainability theme, Fletcher; Grose (2001) and Gwilt (2014).
