RESUMO: Para reconhecimento da influência da sociedade, conquistar novos olhares, expressar uma comunicação assertiva ou ampliar os horizontes do teatro, o figurino se torna uma ferramenta para o rompimento de fronteiras entre arte e vida. Um exemplo disso é o figurino que retrata uma ação transformativa, que em sua apresentação, agrega sentido para a história contada, relacionamento com o público e características do personagem. Dessa forma, buscou-se confeccionar e despertar o olhar para a importância do figurino e da ação artística para a expressão do teatro, realizando-se uma pesquisa descritivo-quantitativa. Foram consideradas como objetivos: a investigação dos processos comunicacionais gerados da cena teatral de rua, a importância do papel comunicador do figurino e os elementos inspiradores que ditam um marco na sociedade por meio da Revolução Industrial. Entre os resultados do estudo de público-alvo, destaca-se a visão do teatro como uma representação cultural, a influência da evolução da sociedade nas apresentações de teatro, a importância do figurino para a imersão sensorial do público, bem como, uma ferramenta de extensão do personagem e ator/atriz, o que confirma a relevância de uma boa construção de figurino e sua performance.

ABSTRACT: To recognize the influence of society, gain new perspectives, express assertive communication or expand the theater’s horizons, costumes become a tool for breaking down boundaries between art and life. An example of this is the costume that portrays a transformative action, which in its presentation, adds meaning to the story told, relationship with the audience and character characteristics. In this way, we sought to create and awaken awareness of the importance of costumes and artistic action for the expression of theater, carrying out descriptive-quantitative research. The following objectives were considered: the investigation of communication processes generated from the street theater scene, the importance of the communicative role of costumes and the inspiring elements that dictate a milestone in society through the Industrial Revolution. Among the results of the target audience study, the vision of theater as a cultural representation, the influence of the evolution of society on theater presentations, the importance of costumes for the sensorial immersion of the public, as well as a tool for extension of the character and actor/actress, which confirms the relevance of good costume construction and performance.
